Biblical Solutions Counseling

Josh earned his Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Counselor Education from The Ohio State University in 2003. After receiving a license as a Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio, he felt the call of God on his life to enter full-time ministry as a Biblical Counselor at the Grace Brethren Church of Columbus in 2004.

As part of his theological training, Josh earned a certificate in the Logos Bible program in 2004. Since 2011, he has been pursuing a Master’s of Religion from Reformed Theological Seminary.

As part of his teaching experiences, Josh has taught counseling modules to Grace College students since 2004. In 2010, Josh was asked to join the Churches Helping Churches Haitian relief effort and traveled to Port-au-Prince to teach and encourage Haitian pastors with biblical counseling principles. He continued to travel to STEP Seminary in Port-au-Prince to teach seminarians the principles of Pre-Marital counseling until 2015.

As Editor of the Veritas Journal, Josh led a team of lay-counselors and pastors in writing a publication that has been read all over the United States and in over 50 countries around the world. The Veritas Journal covered many topics of the Christian faith and aimed to provide relevant material to help Christians live and grow in their walk with Christ.

Since 2005, Josh continues to serve as an assessor for missionary candidates at the Crossworld Mission in Kansas City, Missouri. Some of these responsibilities include Interpretation of the Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis, Pro-Development Assessment, interviewing missionary and staff candidates, offering recommendations for Personal Development planning (assessing areas of need and providing objectives toward personal improvement pertinent to ministry involvement), and collaborating with International Directors of the mission for treatment planning.

After serving the people of greater Columbus through the Biblical Counseling ministry, Josh opened Biblical Solutions & Consultation, LLC in 2014 in an effort to serve believers and unbelievers alike with the good news of the gospel.

Josh enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Ali, and four children, as well as recreational activities such as golf, softball, and woodworking.
